Credit & Cash Management Analyst

Job Summary: 
The Credit and Cash Management Analyst monitors the daily trading activities to ensure adherence to credit and cash management policies and procedures. 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Make and respond to daily margin/collateral requests
  • Evaluate counterparties’ financial condition to determine creditworthiness and recommend credit limits
  • Monitor trading activity in relation to credit limits and contractual terms
  • Process payments and manage reporting on controlled accounts utilized for collateral
  • Assist in contract negotiation and documentation
  • Administer delivery and receipt of credit support documents (letters of credit, guarantees, etc.)
  • Update Power Tools Platform and Energy Credit Systems to ensure accuracy of data and reports
  • Run, review, and distribute credit risk reports
  • Various other projects as assigned

Education/Experience/Skills
Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or another related field and 2-5 years relevant work experience; however, additional work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Problem solving skills, ability to use logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches, distinguish trends and impacts, and identify causes and effects
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize assigned projects and tasks
  • Must have strong customer service, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
Preferred Requirements:
  • Prior experience in financial statement analysis
  • Understanding of the wholesale and/or retail electricity industry
  • Programming experience, particularly with VBA and/or C#
Physical Demands:        
Ability to use standard office equipment such as PC, telephone, calculator, printer, copy and fax machines. Position may require extended work hours on short notice. All work will be performed in an indoor office environment and may require extended periods of sitting, standing and bending and typing/data entry. The job may also include driving, and airline travel. Travel may be required to attend meetings in other office buildings including local and domestic.
