Technical Implementation Engineer I

The Technical Implementation Engineer (TIE) team serves as an initial escalation point for technical issues that are complex in nature, which are escalated from the program support teams. During the initial onboarding phase and beyond, the TIE will be expected to continually gain and demonstrate a thorough understanding of existing and new Landis+Gyr Hardware and Software solutions as well as the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot these products. They will also be involved in cross-training teammates, other teams as well as customers. The position provides in-depth technical support by working across departments, including Development, Engineering, SQA, Product Management and Project Management. The TIE team is responsible for driving a resolution to technical issues while fully documenting the progress and resolution of these issues. If technical issues cannot be resolved, the TIE is expected to gather enough detailed technical information before engaging appropriate engineering teams. In addition, the position requires strong customer service skills and knowledge of utility business functions to support the Technical Implementation Manager (TIM) with the deployment of Landis+Gyr solutions for customers.

The TIE I role is an entry-level position in a dynamic team that deploys and sustains critical smart grid infrastructure and offers an opportunity to learn how the energy industry is evolving. The ideal candidate for this position is energetic, ambitious and eager to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment. The TIE Team also offers the opportunity to gain exposure to and learn about other roles and teams within Landis+Gyr.
