Job Title: Lead Engineer
Location(s): Westminster, Colorado
Hiring Range: Depends on education and experience.
$45,000 - $50,000/year with 7-10 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
$50,000 - $65,000/year with 10-15 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
$65,000 - $110,000/year with over 15 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt

Job Description:
RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Lead Engineer who will oversee and engage various outside engineering companies for their input for estimating time and level of effort required to participate in various discrete projects listed on the approved Legacy Management (LM) project tracking sheet. Work with RSIs internal engineering group as required for their input into discrete project planning packages. Participate in the drafting of project planning packages to ensure the engineering scope is adequately accounted for.
 
This position is required to travel 25% of the time and will spend 10% - 25% of their time in the field.
 
Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
·        Participate in the development of the project planning package by ensuring the civil engineering component is complete within each package.
·        Oversee the engineering tasks or scope of work is outlined sufficiently in the project plan.
·        Identify resources, individuals and/or engineering disciplines needed on assigned projects.
·        Verify project schedule is reasonable.
·        Responsible for verifying project budget is reasonable.
·        Train and mentor junior staff.
·        Other duties, as assigned.
 
Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:
·        Civil engineering experience preferably in the construction industry or in a government agency role.
·        Ability to understand different disciplines of engineering drawings in various stages of design.
·        Ability to understand and validate engineering estimates presented by third parties as part of the project planning packages.
 
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:
·        Microsoft Office, including Xcel and PowerPoint
·        WinEst or other estimating software
·        Civil Engineering is required, other engineering disciplines a benefit.
·        Engineering software
·        Knowledge of construction practices
·        Knowledge of OSHA requirements
·        Basic understanding of current engineering laws within the states the project(s) are located and within the LM project locations.
·        Valid driver’s license.
 
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
·        Engineering experience with USACE, BLM, Tribal entities, City, County Engineer, or similar.
·        PE registration in selected job sites is preferred.
·        Certified Civil Engineer with construction background in design, inspection, validation of estimates and implementation of projects consisting of reasonable difficulty and cost.

Required Education and Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 7 years of civil engineering experience.
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 
The employee exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
 
Able to travel on uneven ground while in the field for medium distances.
