The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is seeking a talented, client-focused Audio/Visual Technician III with excellent customer service skills to join our growing Team. 
 
This position reports to the A/V Services Supervisor and is responsible for all aspects of audiovisual services provided by the center. This will include planning, setup, and operating video teleconferences. The technician will maintaining and provide instruction in use of all of Fred Hutch's A/V equipment. This individual will ensure all A/V equipment is properly configured prior to events, advise participants in those meetings on the proper use of equipment (where appropriate), and will operate equipment for key meetings.
 
This position is required to be on campus daily.

Responsibilities


  • Administrator for Conferencing Scheduling & Services (BlueJeans, Panopto, EMS, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
  • Maintains all A/V equipment. May include the overseeing of maintenance contracts and repair services.
  • Provides instruction in the use of the center’s A/V equipment and operates said equipment for key meetings (Board of Trustees, Virtual Town Halls, and other Fred Hutch events)
  • Responsible for maintaining the inventory of A/V supplies, equipment, and rentals
  • Complete conference room setups and take downs (AV equipment, Tables & chairs)
  • Train internal customers and staff
  • Maintain understanding of current and new technology 
  • Troubleshoot escalations from Tech I & II

Qualifications


Required qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ Years of experience in an AV Technician Role
  • Strong experience supporting conference rooms (conference room and equipment setup)
  • Diverse working knowledge of Video Conference systems & protocols
  • Must be able to interface with diverse types of personalities in order to perform the day-to-day routines of the position
  • Ability to work independently and excel in a team environment
  • Physical skills necessary to bend, stoop, lift, reach and perform basic physical tasks
  • Must be able to support a flexible schedule (some early mornings, nights, and/or weekends)
 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) certification or equivalent
  • Intermediate knowledge of Control Software
  • Adobe- Experience with Photoshop edition & Premiere
  • 2+ Years of experience as an administrator in EMS, Panopto, and/or BlueJeans
