Data Science Intern
A Data Scientist Intern at Air Tox is responsible for creating custom models and algorithms to drive business solutions. He or she will work with the product teams to understand product operations, identify the areas that Machine Learning and Data Science methods can help, and develop solutions accordingly. Data Scientists are also responsible for designing large data sets from multiple sources in order to build algorithms. These algorithms will be tested, validated, and applied to large data sets. Additionally, Data Scientists need to demonstrate the benefits of these algorithms for business operations.
What you will be doing
Build learning systems to analyze real-time and offline data sets, and to make predictions or recommendations. Build complex data sets from multiple sources, both internally and externally.
Conduct advanced statistical analysis to determine trends and data relationships.
What skills and experience you need as a team member to succeed
- Strong programming skill with a deep understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Strong understanding and background in probability theory, random process, statistics, and optimization techniques
- Strong expertise in Machine Learning algorithms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Research new techniques and best practices within the industry.
- Develop software modules based on algorithms and test them against real data. Integrate software modules with product software.
- Validate models and algorithms in the field.
Requirements:
Programming experience in Python, Java, SQL
Able to learn new tasks quickly and easily adapt to changes in existing procedure
Able to recognize minute differences in data.
Strong analytic and organizational skills
