The Department of Computer Science is looking to hire Program Assistants (PAs) and Residential Assistants (RAs) for the 2022 UT Computer Science Summer Academies. Students in these positions will gain leadership experience that stands out on a resume. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our department as we dispel myths about computer science and intrigue our camp attendees with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving.

Responsibilities include advising and leading a group of 10 academy participants during one or more summer academy sessions. PAs typically work a full day (approx. 7:00 am - 4:00 pm) Sunday - Friday and a half day (approx. 8:00 am - 12:00 pm) on Saturday. RAs typically work a full day (approx. 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm) Sunday - Friday. RAs will stay overnight in the dorms with academy participants.

We are offering a few virtual academies this summer. PAs that support virtual academies will work remotely Monday - Friday approximately 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

PAs and RAs have time during which they are free from duty and can pursue personal activities. Compensation includes hourly wages plus room and board (if requested by PAs).
