GAIN PROFESSIONAL JOB SKILLS, CONTRIBUTE TO CLIMATE RESILIENCE, AND LAUNCH YOUR WILDLAND FIRE CAREER!

MCC is hiring Women’s Fuels & Fire Crew Members! We focus on the growth of our members, transferable job skills, and making a positive impact on the climate and environment. Crew Members and their crews will camp while working on physically demanding conservation projects across the Northern Rockies and Plains. This crew is for anyone who identifies as a woman. We welcome trans applicants who are comfortable in a female-identifying space. This crew will work with the Wyoming Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for the majority of the season. Work will consist of fuels mitigation projects with heavy chainsaw use. Participants will receive basic wildland fire qualifications including a nationally recognized chainsaw certification, basic wildland firefighting classes (S130, S190), in addition to having an opportunity to receive a wildland fire red card. There may be opportunities to deploy on fire assignments AFTER the term of service ends. This is a stepping stone for future career opportunities in fire. Are you looking for something unique? If you want to address urgent climate change issues and make a positive impact on the environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
