Administration Course Aide

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Meetings & Courses Program organizes over thirty scientific conferences and short courses each calendar year in all areas of biology attracting over 12,000 scientists from all over the world to learn the latest technologies and share advances in biological research. The program is seeking candidates for a summer/seasonal Administration Course Aide position. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

·     Answer and direct telephone calls.
·     Assist in the processing of registration materials.
·     Prepare arrival and departure reports.
·     Run errands
·     Supply guests with information regarding the campus and grounds.
Position RequirementsEducation: College student, preferably majoring in a Hospitality field

Availability: Work a full-time (40 hours/week) from mid-May until mid-August. Occasional weekend work may be necessary for this position as well as the need for this person being able to work on the 4th of July.

Experience: Some customer service an office experience.

Other requirements:

-Must have a clean, valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle

-Experience using Word and Excel programs

-Strong communications skills

-Excellent customer service skills
