You will join our Environment & Health department
As an entry-level engineer, you will be working closely with Project Managers and other Consultants on a variety of environmental investigation/remediation, environmental compliance, health and safety, sustainability, ecological, air quality, and/or due diligence projects within our broad Environment and Health practice. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team, on challenging environmental projects for industrial, financial sector, commercial, and global clients. Depending on your areas of focus, your tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Overseeing the execution of remedial alternatives
  • Preparation of engineering plans related to civil and environmental projects, working closely with Project Manager and subject matter experts
  • Providing technical assistance on site investigation and remediation projects.
  • Applying engineering calculations, design and evaluation skills to solve environmental problems.
  • Understanding of federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements for soil, groundwater, soil gas, waste, air quality, and water quality programs as they relate to engineering investigation and remediation and preparing associated plans, permits, and reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation and editing of technical reports.
  • Interactions with clients, agency, and the public.
  • Oversight of field projects and managing subcontractors.

  • Ability and willingness to work as responsible, independent team players in a consulting environment, including the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Classwork or experience with engineering design and use of AutoCAD/Civil 3D

  • Candidates must have a B.S. or M.S. engineering degree in a relevant discipline (Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering) from an accredited institution and have 1-3 years of experience in a related field.  Looking for individuals with coursework and/or previous experience/internships that incorporate both civil engineering skills into environmental engineering projects
  • Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30% average over the year and possess a valid driver’s license. Travel may include overnight stay and may be out of state. Travel duration may range from 1-10 days, depending upon the specific requirements of each project.
  • The physical requirements of this position may include the need for climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing/sitting/walking, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 40 lbs. In certain situations, this position may expose the candidate to extremes in weather (hot/cold); high noise levels, to hazards such as a proximity to moving machine parts and moving vehicles, electrical current and exposure to chemicals. Employees may be required to take specific training and to wear PPE on some occasions.
