Marketing Content Specialist

In this role, you will be responsible for execution of Hamilton's marketing efforts. This position works closely with product management to define and create new promotional materials targeted at educating and attracting customers across the Dealer Products portfolio. Success requires the ability to understand and create content targeted to the user personas that are most likely to purchase or influence the purchase of products. We are interested in talking with individuals with a positive attitude, ambition, professionalism, and a strong motivation to create significant value.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Active review and improvement of web content on Hamilton's website and on the sites of our distribution.
  • Writing/developing corporate content; project managing deliverables and activities; working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and outside agencies; coordinating activities; and tracking progress.
  • Support efforts to enrich the information in distributors marketing and promotional materials.
  • Work with product management and sales to identify marketing initiatives and take the lead on execution of the initiatives.
  • Focus on initiatives that increase market awareness of our products and generate sales leads.
  • The types of initiatives could include but are not limited to Catalogs, Brochures, Advertisements, Tradeshow Promotion, eBlasts, Web Tools, Social Media, Manuals, Application Notes, PR, Videos, and animation.
  • Maintain a calendar of marketing activities and work backwards to identify critical deadlines and milestones.
  • Coordinate projects and provide content in a concise format that is easily executed by our 3rd party production artist.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of a bimonthly electronic newsletter.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of a marketing contact
  • Coordinate video and photo
  • Ensure efficiency through organization of materials and preparation of shot lists, story boards, and scripts.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Writing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. A science background is considered a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a role in communications, in-house or agency public relations (medical device strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable with all steps of the creative process, strategy, ideation, execution, publishing, measurement, and optimization.
  • Development of project that improved SEA Performance, Digital Traffic, Engagement, Conversation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, can multitask between projects, have strong writing skills, and a very strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of the markets where Hamilton competes including Analytical Chemistry, biological Sciences, Liquid Handling, etc.
