Sr. Software Engineer

Job Description
Hamilton Company is seeking a Software Engineer to join the R&D team in building state of the art software for our precise liquid handling robots. The position entails writing automated testing for development of software and becoming an expert in use of product software to support customers when they encounter issues. Other responsibilities include:
  • Full stack development of new features/tools including design, documentation, implementation, and testing.
  • Analysis and resolution of software defects.
  • Effective communication with other departments and engineering disciplines.
  • Developing project estimates and timelines.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Engineering Technology, or related discipline from regionally accredited university.
  • Programming with C#
  • Experience with source control (preferably Git)
  • Solid SQL database design principles and experience with Entity Framework
  • Experience with Angular 5+ and Typescript
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs
  • Must be able to analyze and further develop provided requirements
  • Must have the ability to anticipate customer and/or product need
  • Must be able to communicate and interface with other business verticals
  • Must be able to work on both individual and team projects
  • Must have familiarity with the software development lifecycle
  • Must be able to use opportunity cost evaluation as part of decision making
  • Must have a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Experience developing with WPF and using WCF contracts
  • Experience with iterative design principles
  • Experience using systems engineering principles and concepts, experience using and improving systems of continuous integration and deployment.
