Intern – Sample Management

We are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Sample Management group at Cytokinetics.

 

We are currently seeking an intern to join the Sample Management group at Cytokinetics. This will be a position that will provide a tremendous learning opportunity. The candidate will get to learn in-depth the functioning and nuances of a Sample Management group and gain experience with the numerous assays that assess and characterize the properties of the compounds. The position demands an individual who is a quick learner and has a proactive attitude to pitch in to support research activities and help with dispensing compounds, trouble-shooting instrumentation, HPLC quality control and running assays.

 

·      A minimum 4 days of on-site work and 1 day of remote work will be expected

·      Currently enrolled in a four-year college/university program with a chemistry or biology major

·      Highly focused, organized and motivated team player with good time management skills

·      Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC and LC/MS is a plus

·      Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new computer applications are essential

·      Excellent communication skills and the desire to work within a multidisciplinary team are also required
