Donor Acquisition Manager

SUMMARY: The Donor Acquisition Manager will plan, coordinate, execute and report on a variety of donor acquisition campaigns to our audiences including, but not limited to, fundraising and development, audience growth, mission-based communications, and impact awareness. The Donor Acquisition Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Development and will work closely with the Communications team. The Donor Acquisition Manager will communicate to, segment, and engage with a wide variety of audiences and be focused on meeting goals, both internal and external, assist with creating and managing events, develop new programs, and generate revenue for the Institute. In collaboration with the Communications Team, this position will leverage data and analytics to target campaigns, generating persuasive messaging, content development, and other marketing tactics to acquire new donors to the organization.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·        Manage, implement, monitor, and coordinate fundraising campaigns (digital and print), marketing, fundraising events, and public relations programs to maintain existing donors and acquire new donors
·        Design, create and strategically implement fundraising models to leverage key digital platforms for the enhancement and growth of donor revenue
·        Provide oversight of development plans to engage and expand the donor base and increase contributed income and awareness with revenue accountability
·        In coordination with the Communications Team, develop targeted communications to steward new and existing donors with a goal to sustain and increase annual giving through fundraising campaigns
·        Effectively utilize data analytics to identify trends in donor giving to determine optimal approach when developing, implementing, and measuring campaign’s success
·        Test new donor markets and programs to expand the donor support
·        Develop a Giving program for the capital campaign and assist in developing proposals to major donors
·        Develop outreach campaigns to attract awareness and donors to the Regional Resource Centers
·        Increase the number of potential donors by converting the general audience into donors and corresponding with all current and potential donors
·        Coordinate with the Grants Manager in writing grant proposals
·        Collaborate effectively with Marketing and Communications, Visitor Experience and Events, Research, and Education teams as well as Institute Leadership
·        Perform other duties as assigned by management
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
·        At least 3+ years of experience in related field
·        Project management experience is required
 
·        Demonstrated experience with direct mail and fundraising
·        Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
·        Excellent written and verbal communications skills
·        Ability to work independently and as a team member
·        Excellent knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite including social media and mass email lists
·        Working knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s edge or another donor database system
·        Strong organization and planning skills
 
EDUCATION: 
·        Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
