Procurement Associate

Overview
Supports the efforts of Procurement Specialist through analysis and coordination of third party and internal stakeholders . Provides day to day support that will result in high quality and cost effective options for the procurement of services, material and assets
 
Responsibilities
Analysis: Collects data and generates reports for spend, line items, vendor grades, inventory and other Procurement key metrics. Analyze and interpret data to measure performance and forecast.
 
Sourcing and Execution: Prepares bid document. Develops sources, requests pricing and delivery, places orders, and follows up until product is received. Expedites deliveries to meet customer schedules in the field. Works with freight forwarders and logistics on a daily basis.
 
Purchase Order Processing: Monitors purchase order activity to ensure completed purchase orders are closed in system. Updates purchase orders as required to reflect accurate delivery dates of product on orders. Reconciles problem invoices related to purchase orders.
 
Vendor and Contracts Management: Set up, update and manage vendor records in ERP. Manage and report on vendor MSAs, insurance, and ISN safety grades. Create, update and close price books
 
Communicate: Capable and can demonstrate verbal and written communication to procurement specialists, internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Supply Chain; and 1-2 years related experience and/or training.
 
Mathematical Skills                                                     
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
 
Computer Skills                                                             
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous experience with supply chain software preferred.
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Certified Professional in Supply Management is a plus.
 
APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
 
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is a plus.
 
Other Skills and Abilities                                                           
Good negotiation skills
 
Strong analytical skills to drive sound business decisions with a high degree of accuracy.
 
Strong knowledge of excel functions, to include basic formulas, chart building, sorting and filtering data, and utilizing pivot tables,
 
Positive attitude and ability to successfully work in a team environment.
 
Other Qualifications                                                    
Associates degree from formal education in Supply Chain or engineering preferred.
 
One to two years of procurement/supply chain experience with upstream oil and gas operator preferred.
 
Exposure to and familiarity with contracts.
 
Previous experience with ERP system preferred.
 
Weekly field travel is required.
