Product Manager, Franklin, MA

HAMILTON Storage Technologies provides automation solutions to customers in life science and clinical research. Hamilton Storage is seeking an experienced Product Manager responsible for an established automated storage platform that serves the Life Science market. The Product Manager will be the product's owner, expert and champion within the organization, driving product development and continuing improvements. This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring the product deliverables meet customer needs, business needs, and are executed with the highest quality and value.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Serve as a market voice within the organization.
  • Develop and execute product planning and strategy.
  • Drive market research activities for both product improvement and future product planning.
  • Lead product development and improvement initiatives conducted by engineering, service and manufacturing groups.
  • Create and manage product and project requirements and plans which align market needs with internal capabilities.
  • Develop and manage product financial initiatives incorporating sales and marketing, product development, installation and commissioning.
  • Support marketing groups as a product expert, to include development of sales and marketing materials, support for trade shows, etc.
  • Support sales as a product expert, including pre-sales support, proposal generation, and project support.
  • Create and manage technical product documentation.
  • Maintain customer relationships with key accounts.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and technical background.
  • 3 plus years in Product Management and Life Sciences market preferred.
  • Position requires up to 20% travel both domestically and internationally.
  • This role requires a solid technical understanding of automation hardware and software.
  • Must be skilled in the creation of technical product documentation, for both customer-facing and inter-company use.
  • Experience in product design verification and performance validation testing.
  • Product risk analysis experience.
  • Additional experience in sales and marketing is required.
