POSITION TITLE: Postdoctoral Associate - Statistical Genetics and Computational Biology
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
Mohammadi lab at Scripps Research is looking for highly motivated postdocs/senior scientists interested in genomic data analysis to join ongoing projects analyzing variation in non-coding genome, identifying genetic variation that contributes to disease, and combining multiple omics datasets. REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a doctoral degree. A pending doctoral degree may be considered with approval of the Principal Investigator.
 
The position involves developing and applying new analysis tools for large genomic data. Thus, experience in any of the following areas is of interest: Genetics, Statistical Genetics, NGS data analysis, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Probabilistic Modeling, Statistics, Computer Science, Optimization. Extensive programming experience is necessary for all candidates. Those interested in staff scientist positions should have direct expertise in our field and at least two years of postdoctoral work experience.
 
This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
