Financial Analyst

Job Description:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for day-to-day analysis and monitoring of the production costing system, expense management, and working with operations to identify and track cost savings initiatives. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for new part review and approval and will assist with product pricing review. This position will deal closely with business partners in engineering, manufacturing, customer service, marketing, and finance.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  1. Participate in month end close process by processing account reconciliations and preparing monthly pricing files
  2. Track variable and fixed costs, and work with operations to identify cost savings
  3. Audit production accounting system and ensure integrity of system controls including cycle count support
  4. Review monthly margins for both intercompany and external sales and provide justifications for variances for multiple manufacturing segments
  5. Review manufacturing activity for accuracy against planned bills of materials and close production orders
  6. Process new part approvals and ensure accuracy of ERP material settings
  7. Assist in establishing and analyzing production overhead rates and burden rates
  8. Ensure compliance in expense management and align with budgeted allocations

  10. Experience with PowerBI
  11. Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  12. Experience with manufacturing accounting systems, ERPs - Dynamics 365 preferred


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from not-for-profit regionally accredited university
  2. One (1) year of related experience, post bachelors
  3. Experience in manufacturing, technology, or life science industry preferred.
