DER Onboarding Intern

OVERVIEW

Enel has a need for a current undergraduate or graduate student to join our Operations team in a temporary internship position supporting our cutting-edge distributed energy resources (DER) business. Specifically, this person will support the onboarding of new Enel X customers with battery energy storage, solar, or other physical assets that enable participation in Enel X programs (aka: “DERs”). The intern will support the Project Managers and Field Engineers in the execution of day-to-day tasks related to the construction and operation of DERs. This may include the scheduling and preparation for customer meetings, taking of meeting notes, updating project schedules, drafting contracts and scopes of work (SOW), administering filing systems, etc. In this work they will contribute to the design and construction of battery storage systems across North America.
 
This role is available as a remote role, or in our office in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background who is interested in learning about Project Management and getting in on the ground floor of a new industry.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:
·        Support the Project Managers and Field Engineering team by:
o   Collaborate with team members on activity related to active projects
o   Scheduling and preparing for internal and external meetings
o   Managing documents and internal filing systems (e.g. Salesforce, Teams, Sharepoint, Procore)
o   Updating project schedules and milestone-tracking
o   Assist with documentation and other project deliverables
o   Support customers and responding to inbound request
·        Improving internal processes
o   Performing data analysis
o   Identifying areas for internal process improvement
o   Implementing improvement measures

REQUIREMENTS
·        Undergraduate or Masters student, Engineering or other technical degree preferred
·        0-1 years’ experience working in a corporate setting
·        A general understanding of battery storage
·        Project management skills, especially managing multiple projects simultaneously
·        An ability to apply creativity and objectivity while solving technical problems;
·        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong bias towards action
·        Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to utilize these skills across groups within and outside the organization
·        Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively support and work well with people from different disciplines
·        Superior organizational skills and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and quality
·        Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
·        Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
·        Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects
