Land Representative / Paralegal

Overview

RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 294 stream miles and 58,000 wetland acres and conserved and preserved 9,100 acres of endangered species habitats. RES operations include planting over 14,000,000 restorative trees and reducing over 250 tons of polluting nutrients. RES ecological solutions enable a of balance economic development and ecological sustainability.
 
The Operations Land Representative will assist region land department with due diligence action items and in-house counsel with management of real estate transactions/real property holdings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, real estate closings across multiple states and varying asset types
  • Manage title work, survey, due diligence action items, and other real estate transaction items, while coordinating review with in-house counsel/Region Land Manager
  • Manage and satisfy title objections prior to property closinsg. Title curative measures could include, but are not limted to: Affidavits of Heirship, Quit Claim Deeds, Affidavit of Use & Possession, and Affidavits of Non-Production.
  • Acquisition of various types of agreements including, but not limited to: Staging Agreements, Access Agreements, Spoil Agreements, corrective Conservation Easements, and General Permit Applications, etc.
  • Maintain physical and electronic files including a real property schedule and schedule of outstanding real estate contracts and their critical date
Core Working Relationships:
  • In-house counsel and Corporate Land Director
  • Region Land Manager and region Land Representatives
  • External parties including outside counsel, title companies, surveyors, landowners/sellers, and landowner/seller attorneys or representatives.

Qualifications

  • Two-year degree (preferred Bachelor's Degree or two-year degree coupled with a paralegal certificate)
  • 1 or more years of experience in corporate real estate or land work
