Mid/Senior Quantitative Groundwater Scientist

Job Title: Mid/Senior Quantitative Groundwater Scientist
Location(s): Grand Junction, CO/Westminster, CO/Remote Teleworking considered
Hiring Range: $70/k - $95/k/yr. (Depending on education, experience, and location)
Status: Full-Time
FLSA: Exempt
 
Job Description:
RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Mid/Senior Quantitative Groundwater Scientist. This position is responsible for performing quantitative hydrogeologic evaluations.

Clearance and Health Regiments:
·Criminal Background Check
·Pre-placement Drug Screening
·COVID 19 Vaccination or legally supported exemption
·Fit for Duty Test (if applicable)

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:
· Understanding of groundwater flow, contaminant transport, vadose zone hydrology, and groundwater flow and transport modeling.
· Responsible for determining project objectives, developing appropriate investigatory methodologies, scheduling, reporting and client liaison.
· Ability to work within a team to produce technically sound and defensible products.
· Mentor junior staff.
 
Work experience required:
· Greater than 5 years of related work experience.
 
Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses and software proficiency required:
· Solid technical foundation in math, physics, and chemistry
· Valid Driver’s license
 
Skills and capabilities needed:
·Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills
·Analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Strong quantitative groundwater skills and demonstrated ability to solve complex groundwater problems.
 
Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:
·Groundwater modeling experience.
 
Required Education:
Minimum of a Masters’ degree in Geology, Engineering, Hydrology, or closely related field
 
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The employee must remain is a stationary position 50% of the time. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Constantly works inside an office environment. Frequently moves documents and objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Must be able to observe and learn technical material and emails.
