A Health Scientist-Epidemiologist at CTEH, LLC (CTEH) initially will assist with COVID-19 related projects, managing national and international statistics on the pandemic, calculating and maintaining epidemiology indicators of outbreak spread, experience with databases and statistical coding, field support teams by managing Tableau dashboards, contact tracing, and providing technical and subject matter expertise, and conducting COVID-19 epidemiology assessments of specific field locations. 

Post pandemic, this position works directly with CTEH’s Epidemiology Program under the Toxicology & Health Sciences Department in the interdisciplinary areas of Epidemiology, Toxicology, Environmental Health, Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment, Industrial Hygiene, and Emergency Response. Daily job tasks may include epidemiology literature reviews, compiling meta-analyses, drafting technical reports, research, epidemiological data assessments, data requests, and emergency epidemiology response projects like infectious disease outbreak tracking. Additional task performed by health scientists in this department include field-based environmental sampling tasks, mathematical exposure calculations, and providing written critiques of materials for litigation-related matters. The preferred candidate will have at least a Master’s degree in a health science-related field (Public Health, epidemiology, environmental health, biostatistics, toxicology etc.). Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience in technical writing, quantitative analyses, and shown strong attention to details. Health Scientist position levels range from Assistant (entry level) to Senior (advanced/terminal degrees. Incumbents enter the career track at a level appropriate to their education, experience, certifications, and skills with the ability to gain vertical career growth through training, gained experience and prescribed benchmarks.
