Quality Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

Hamilton Storage is seeking an entry level Quality Engineer. The Quality representative will work to ensure production and maintains control with the implementation and execution of quality checks. This position will be involved with internal and external manufacturing processes; ensuring specifications are met with the desired level of quality and organizational value.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Post production QC testing process development.
  • Execution of V&V and Final QC testing.
  • Interfacing with suppliers and customers on product quality and related technical issues.
  • Manage containment activity related to supplier quality issues.
  • Development of supplier quality inspection criteria.
  • Support supplier qualification, development and surveillance audits.
  • Assistance with the corrective actions reporting system.
  • Investigation of product quality issues, establishing root cause, corrective and preventative actions.
  • Initiate product quality improvements.
  • Follow-up of product related corrective actions.
  • Introduction and support of proactive quality tools and techniques.
  • Best practices development and robustness initiatives.
  • Manufacturing documentation review and quality compliance.

Education & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related technical discipline or 3 plus years quality control work experience.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Ability to use various measurement devices (multi-meter, calipers, surface plates, feeler gauges...etc.)
  • General understanding of electro-mechanical design and diagnostics.
  • Experience with machine assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Ability to write verification and validation tests.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
