Poster Production Student Assistant (Open to Work Study and Non-Work Study)
Responsible for the timely and accurate production of print and digital posters.
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
Location: Gates Dell Complex on UT Campus
Preferred start date: Monday, January 17, 2022
Pay Rate: $10/hr
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills
- Pays close attention to details and accurately follows processes and procedures
- Strong computer skills, with aptitude to quickly learn and utilize new software
- Ability to “multi-task”
- Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move more than 25 pounds
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with software-driven print-production and sign-production equipment (e.g. bindery equipment, cutters, large format printers, and lamination tables)
In this role you will…
- Review print and digital poster requests and place them into production to meet deadlines
- Confer with the manager to identify other assigned projects
- Expedite operations delaying schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Operate digital print, bindery, wide-format equipment
- Review supply inventory and provide list paper, supplies, equipment and other materials in need of purchase to the Marketing Manager
- Ensure customer’s needs are met and the orders are completed within the agreed upon time

Qualifications:
Must be a current student at The University of Texas at Austin. The position is well-suited for a person who is a productive self-starter, resourceful, and professional. We would like you to be someone who enjoys learning, documenting, problem-solving, and is hard-working. Student worker must be punctual.
