We are seeking motivated and qualified candidates to join our team in our Princeton, New Jersey office as an Environmental Consultant.  To succeed in this role, candidates must have a B.S. or M.S. in Engineering (Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering), Environmental Science, Geology, or related engineering or earth science from an accredited institution and have 0-2 years of experience in a related field. 
Join our Environment & Health Department
As our new Environmental Consultant, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing innovative and sustainable site solutions to an international client base.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Assistance with the development of comprehensive site investigations work plans by participating in scope of work development, budgeting, and data analysis to characterize contaminants in sediments, soil, air, surface water, and groundwater.
  • Coordination and oversight of drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
  • Performance of field work, including soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air sampling, aquifer testing, soil boring and monitoring well installation, soil logging, and well purging and sampling.
  • Oversight of implementation and field management (including operation, maintenance, and monitoring) of various environmental remediation systems (e.g., soil vapor extraction (SVE), enhanced in-situ bioremediation (eISB), in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO), permeable reactive barriers (PRB), and groundwater extraction and treatment).
  • Assistance with the preparation and editing of technical and regulatory reports.
Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Masters of Science or Engineering in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering, or other engineering or related earth science discipline.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Classwork or experience with fate and transport, hydraulic, and/or hydrogeological modeling and GIS mapping is a plus.
  • Experience with environmental regulatory programs, document database management, risk assessment, environmental sampling, and/or due diligence is a plus.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT)/ Geologist in Training (GIT) certification is preferred.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a plus.
