Financial Analyst

Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for coordinating, maintaining, and developing management reports, dashboards and assisting with budgeting & forecasting models across LEG divisions. Will become familiar with the industry, business and related factors impacting various financial metrics to help drive financial and operational excellence with a forward-looking focus and risk awareness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

Performance Management
·        Maintains and updates monthly management reporting, including variance and trend analysis, to review with business teams. Assess potential risks or opportunities to the forecast and work with the business to develop mitigation plans when necessary.

·        Monitors actual versus planned revenues, operating and capital expenditures, and any other relevant financial or non-financial trends, to provide timely notification of potential over/under runs and determine the impact to the plan or forecast.

·        Collaborates with various stakeholders to propose and recommend processes and tools to promote cost awareness to align expenditures to business goals.

Planning & Forecasting
·        Contributes to the development of financial plans and forecasts utilizing several financial models and datasets and present outputs with all relevant assumptions.

·        Assists in maintaining financial models ensuring inputs, calculations and outputs are functioning as intended while working with appropriate parties to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

·        Develops analysis to project the financial performance of proposed projects as needed.
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field from four-year college or university; minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a fundamental understanding of finance/accounting concepts. 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, and Power Point. Experience in Enertia, Spotfire and/or SQL preferred.
