Senior Business Systems Analyst

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Business Systems Application team. The Sr. Systems analyst is responsible for the general support and maintenance of business systems applications in an academic environment centered on scientific research.  
 
A successful candidate will have experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) users (specifically Lawson/Infor), general infrastructure support and possess the ability to build collaborative relationships across functional departments. They will be accomplished at navigating issues, resolving problems and providing solutions while establishing relationships and building collaboration with business leads. They will manage day to day support tickets, define requirements and develop reporting and manage technical aspects of small and midsize projects.
 
A strong candidate will have a basic knowledge of business procedures and practices related to Procurement, Finance, Accounting, Payroll, HR and Benefits.
Position RequirementsEDUCATION:    
·   Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required and a master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:    
·   Experience in building workflow solutions (Specifically Infor IPA).
·   Experience managing Business Intelligence solutions and Report Writing (specifically SSRS).
·   Experience in secure file transfer protocols related to signed and encrypted file transfers.
·   Experience with ERP Application (Specifically Lawson/Infor Preferred).
 ·   Basic Unix Scripting Preferred
·   Basic Knowledge of Accounting, HR and Procurement business processes. 
·   Experience in utilizing standards and industry best practices.
·   Strong collaboration skills.
·   Ability to communicate product design discussions.
·   Minimum of seven (7) years related technical experience 
·   Experience in academic research center environment, preferred.
