Sr. IT Virtualization Engineer

System Engineer - VMWare 
Job Title :Sr. IT Virtualization Engineer
Job Summary:
This position has the responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting and administration of the organization’s server and storage infrastructure. The person in this position will work closely with members of the IT staff to ensure very high levels of server availability, security, and efficiency. They will serve as the technical resource for server and storage production operations support and relevant projects.


Responsibilities and Duties
• Install and implement a variety of solutions, including servers, storage, hypervisors, and data protection solutions
• Collaborate with other engineers and customers on solution selection and contribute to design
• Create scopes of work for professional services engagements
• Create and present documentation for work implemented
• Participate and contribute in Prescriptive Data Center practice
• Exhibit professionalism on all Prescriptive engagement

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Expertise
• Strong knowledge of virtualization, storage, servers, and data protection
• In-depth knowledge and experience with at least two of the following major areas:
• Virtualization (VMWare)
• Experience with Citrix configuration and administration
• Traditional SAN Storage (Dell/EMC and/or NetApp)
• Data Protection (Cohesity, Rubrik, Dell DPS Suite, Veeam, CommVault, Acrnois)
• Servers (Cisco UCS, Cisco HX, Dell Blades & Servers, HPE Synergy & ProLiant)
• Hyper-converged (Dell VXRail, Cisco HyperFlex)
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Certifications for VMWare, Dell Technologies Storage, Dell Technologies VXRail, Dell Servers, HPE Servers, HPE Storage, Cisco Servers, Cisco HyperFlex, Cisco UCS/Intersight, and NetApp storage are all a plus
• Working knowledge of AWS and/or Microsoft Azure are a plus
• Possess and display a passion for technology
