Postdoctoral Associate - Neuroscience

POSITION TITLE: Postdoctoral Fellow - Cline Lab
 
POSITION SUMMARY:
 
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available at the Cline Lab at the Dorris Neuroscience Center at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA to conduct cutting edge studies on the roles of EVs in intercellular signaling between neural cells. The Dorris Neuroscience Center at the Scripps Research Institute is a vibrant collaborative neuroscience environment.
 
The Postdoctoral Fellow will participate in studies examining EVs cargo and intercellular signaling capacity in hiPSC-derived neural cells. The postdoc will purify EVs released from iPSC-derived neural cell types, conduct imaging experiments to assess EV signaling bioactivity and contribute to molecular analysis of EV cargo. The candidate will also be actively involved in optimizing experimental design, data analysis, data interpretation and preparing presentations and papers.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a doctoral degree in Biological Sciences, Neuroscience, or related discipline.
Must have a background in cell biology and neuroscience.
Must have a record of independent research and preparation of manuscripts.
Must have experience with hiPSCs and generating hiPSC-derived neural cells.
Must have experience with immunohistochemistry, in vitro time-lapsed imaging, and quantitative microscopy.
 
Preferred background in molecular biology.
Preferred experience in RNASeq, -omics, bioinformatics.
