IT Web Conference & AV Management Intern

Summary of Internship
Internship positions provide an opportunity for engineering students to get hands on experience in a unified communications operations environment.

Hiring Locations may include but are not limited to Pennsylvania & California.
Essential Functions:
  • Provide engineering support related to web conferencing and AV projects focusing on operations support
  • Resolve technical (hardware, software, communications) malfunctions and have the capability to implement solutions including temporary workarounds and hardware/software upgrades.
  • Build KB articles/instructional documentation.
  • Collaborate with operations and support teams to provide direction/support, improve processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance the overall user experience.
  • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements
  • Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern’s experience level and abilities
Qualifications:
  • Student currently enrolled in classes leading to an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related engineering.
  • Preferred majors: Operations, Engineering or other related major
  • Strong desire and motivation to develop a career in IT operations
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team
  • Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Desire to contribute and improve design of new and existing scientific instrumentation products
  • Desire to teach other specialists about technology in area of expertise
  • Familiarity with of least one of the following tools: Microsoft Teams or Cisco Webex
  • Strong time management, prioritization and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of video-conference hardware/software products and services.
  • Knowledge of other telephony systems including Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft Teams Telephony.
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status
