Systems Reliability Engineering Intern

Summary of Internship
The Systems Reliability Engineering Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a computer science, computer engineering or like engineering degree to get hands on experience working with our engineers in a fast-paced corporate infrastructure environment. The intern will contribute to ongoing projects in the following fields; Cloud, Virtualization, Windows, Linux and Automation. The position starts in June 2022, paid working 40 hours per week through August. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

Essential Functions
  • Provide engineering support related to OS troubleshooting
  • Build operational automation to assist the team in repeatable tasks
  • Support the functionality of VMware and AWS environments
  • Contribute to the reliable operations which include design, analysis and tasks completion.
  • Provide feedback on process improvements
  • Acquire a knowledge of corporate infrastructure and operations
  • Specific tasks will be tailored to the Intern’s experience level and abilities
  • The intern works under the close supervision of engineers, and the reliability engineering managers.

  • Desire to guide other engineers about technology in area of expertise
  • Aptitude for sophisticated pre-application layer troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Virtualization
  • Understanding of Programming languages

Qualifications
  • Computer Science/Engineering Degree
  • Experience with a variety of infrastructure components
