Quality Assurance Assistant

Industrial Test Systems, Inc (ITS) is seeking a dynamic Quality Assurance Assistant for the Rock Hill, SC manufacturing plant. 

ITS is a leading manufacturer of instruments and chemistries designed to test water and coolant analytes. It develops innovative products, many covered by U.S. and worldwide patents, to industries such as municipal water treatment, food & beverage, craft brewing, trucking & automotive, fresh & marine aquaria, pool & spa, education, and medical diagnostics globally with offices in the US and UK.

The QA Specialist will assist the QA Manager in maintaining the company’s policies, procedures, and records. The QA Specialist will be responsible for document control activities and will assist in conducting compliance reviews of internal controls and procedures in all areas of program operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the review and approval of executed Batch Records
  • Assist in the review of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain Quality Assurance Documentation
  • Coordinate with R&D, Production, and Manufacturing Departments for implementation of ISO 13485
  • Coordinate with technical staff to conduct in-depth investigations of quality issues with manufacturing
  • Assist with Non-Conforming Materials Investigations and NCR issuance and closeout
  • Assist with the issuance of vital records such as Deviations, CAPAs, and Batch Records
  • Assist with raw material testing method/specification development
  • Assist with Department Quality Audits

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Chemistry laboratory experiences is a plus
  • Familiarity of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Experience working in QC or QA role within a GMP/ISO facility a plus
  • Experience in maintaining and generating controlled documents a plus
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Computer literacy, including MS Office suite proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level math expertise
