Senior Outreach and Communication Specialist (open to work study and non-work study)

Senior Outreach and Communication Specialists assist students in all aspects of the speech preparation and rehearsal process, including preparing speaker notes, using visual aids, and improving nonverbal and vocal delivery. They provide one-on-one and small group consultations in the Public Speaking Center, located in JES.
Senior Outreach and Communication Specialists also respond to requests to promote the Public Speaking Center on behalf of the Sanger Leaning Center.
Hiring priority is given to current peer educators and students with public speaking experience. Pre-semester training is required as are one-hour weekly meetings.
Expected hours per week: 8-15 hours based on demand.
