Fine Arts Student Ambassador (Theatre & Dance Dept.) (Open to Work Study and Non-Work Study)

*This position is ONLY open to undergraduate students majoring within the Theatre & Dance Department at the University of Texas at Austin*

Reporting to the Recruitment Coordinator, the Student Ambassador will serve an integral leadership role within a larger recruitment team charged with recruiting and yielding students into College of Fine Arts undergraduate degree programs at The University of Texas at Austin. Ambassadors will develop concrete leadership skills in formal presentation styles, communication, teamwork, marketing and more. 
 
Working most often amongst a team of 4-8 ambassadors, but at times individually, the Student Ambassador will provide prospective students and their families a friendly, organized, and insightful campus visit experience (virtually and in-person). 
 
A successful Student Ambassador is one who takes pride in COFA, embodies respect and inclusion, enjoys collaborative efforts, and communicates effectively in person, virtually, and via email. Leading from personal experience and training, ambassadors represent their respective departments, possess knowledge about COFA and UT Austin, and have a general understanding of undergraduate degree programs and admissions processes.

Ambassadors are hired on a semester basis, but are encouraged to continue for the academic year and into the summer. With respect to COVID-19 precautions, most COFA recruitment efforts, including ambassador involvement, are occurring virtually via ZOOM, in-person work is expected to resume later in the fall semester.
