LBJ School CBO and Dean's Office Senior Student Associate (Work-Study or Non-Work-Study)

The LBJ School is recruiting for Senior Student Associates to provide responsible support to the Dean’s Office and Chief Business Officer portfolio. These positions will assist with a variety of duties important to day-to-day school operations and may include:

·      Provide reception support including serving as back-up receptionist for the Dean’s Office. Greeting faculty, staff, and guests. Answering telephones. Checking out keys, parking permits, and equipment to faculty and staff.
·      General administrative tasks such as scanning, copying, filing, and data entry. Maintaining spreadsheets and coding records.
·      Generate reimbursement and payment vouchers. Create travel or entertainment authorizations.
·      Managing, ordering, and stocking supplies. Ensuring clean and tidy business centers, kitchens, conference rooms, etc.
·      Delivering incoming and preparing outgoing mail and packages. Tracking packages ensuring logs are complete and accurate. Confirming receipt of goods ordered.
·      Supporting meetings and events including set up, on-site support, and clean up. Coordinating with administrative specialist and vendors.
·      Assisting with set up of new faculty and staff offices. Running errands within the school and across campus.
·      Other duties or special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and respond to faculty and staff tactfully, clearly, and concisely. Demonstrated excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail while balancing speed and accuracy. Must be able to work well independently and prioritize multiple projects; able to track and follow up on numerous details with ease. Work with integrity and professionalism, with demonstrated sound business ethics including the appropriate handling of university records. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.

Multiple positions are available. Please provide a schedule of times that you are able to work with your application. The job is 10-20 hours per week within the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Full days or 4.5-hour blocks are preferred.
