2022 Summer Analyst, Product Management & Investor Relations (Los Angeles)

About Ares’ Product Management & Investor Relations Teams 
Our investor relations teams are integrated within each of our three business groups, Credit, Private Equity and Real Estate, and are responsible for managing communication between Ares Management and our investors, as well as increasing the firms’ assets under management through the development and management of investor relationships. These teams coordinate shareholder meetings and press conferences, release financial data, lead financial analyst briefings, and publish reports to the SEC. These teams are also responsible for product development and marketing strategy, and the creation of marketing materials and due diligence materials for each of our business groups.   
 
2022 Summer Analyst – Roles and Responsibilities   
Ares Management is currently searching for self-motivated, detail-oriented, team players to join as Summer Interns on our Product Management & Investor Relations teams.  These individuals will support the Investor Relations and Product Specialists who focus on the Credit, Private Equity and Real Estate businesses, including written and oral communications with investors, and market and competitor research and analysis. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Support the Investor Relations Teams within Credit, Private Equity and Real Estate (depending on the team you are aligned with), who provide information and expertise on the firm’s strategies and fund offerings to investors and marketing teams 
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis in support of strategic decision making and investor communications  
  • Assist in the production of presentations for investors and internal constituencies 
  • Report and manage transactional data to third party providers 
  • Streamline processes by creating more efficient methods of gathering, sorting, accessing data 
  • Attend and participate in weekly team meetings with investor relations and portfolio management teams 
  • Support strategic projects for new business development initiatives across each business groups’ platform 
  • Support fundraising for private funds across platforms 
  • Interface and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts of the Firm, including portfolio management, marketing, investor relations, operations, legal, compliance, human resources 
  • Assist in the preparation of responses for request for proposals (RFPs), DDQs, track record analyses, consultant questionnaires/databases and investor requests 
 
 
Qualifications 
We are looking for self-motivated, astute individuals with a passion for and interest in investments. In addition to strong analytical skills and comfort in a fast-paced team environment, successful candidates should:  

  • Be a problem solver with the ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions 
  • Have a strong work ethic and teamwork skills 
  • Have strong time management skills and superior oral and written communication skills 
  • Apply judgement, creativity, and writing skills in developing and editing responses 
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization 
  • Have intermediate to advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills  
 
Candidates for the 2022 Summer Analyst Program must:  

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student, ideally majoring in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics 
  • Have an anticipated graduation date between December 2022 and August 2023
  • Have a track record of academic excellence and participation in campus activities 
 
Roles Available: Internship positions available on Investor Relations teams throughout Credit and Private Equity 
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 10 weeks  
Compensation: Paid Internship 
Accommodations: Relocation stipend and round-trip airfare to/from Internship location
