Fall 2021 No Kid Hungry Grants & Field Intern

The No Kid Hungry Grants & Field Team intern will support the No Kid Hungry campaign and its mission to end childhood hunger in America by assisting with communications, research, and administrative duties. As part of their work with the Grants and Field Teams, the intern will support the No Kid Hungry Grants and Field Teams in their work to leverage data and improve access to school and community nutrition. The intern will conduct research, analyze grants data, and organize information for the Field Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with management of internal tracking systems and content collection to measure grants and program progress and reach
  • Leverage information and analyze data related to No Kid Hungry grantees and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and impact metrics for purposes such as:
  • Identifying innovations and promising practices and inform resource development
  • Develop case studies, blog posts, and/or social media content
  • Support Grants and Field Team members with program/project management activities
  • Conduct academic or web-based research and/or craft materials and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Provide administrative support to the Grants and Field Team
  • Other tasks and day-to-day activities, as assigned
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be enrolled in a higher-educational program (degree-seeking)
  • Available to work 20-40 hours per week
  • MS Office proficiency (ability to learn new software quickly)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to identify and work through challenges, underscored by strong judgment and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience presenting to high-level audiences
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn
  • Demonstrated interest in anti-hunger and anti-poverty issues
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
