Program Associate - Nepal

The  Program Associate is the entry level position for program work at IRI and provides administrative and programmatic support for current and developing programs in Nepal. This position will be based in Kathmandu with our program team.
Position Requirements  
·      Undergraduate degree in political science, management, international relations, or related field. 
·      At least 2 years of experience in international development or related field. 
·      Experience with Microsoft Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. 
·      Excellent writing, research and communication skills. 
·      Experience in international organizations  preferred.  
·      Fluency in English and Nepali.
 
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
 
·      Provide logistical support to IRI’s capacity-building activities, including province-level workshops, trainings and field research.
·      Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) work of the IRI  including data collection, analysis, and contribute to drafting of narrative reports as required.
·      Track program activities to ensure that objectives are met and activities comply with IRI and donor regulations
·      Facilitate meetings with partner organizations, government officials and other key stakeholders to help ensure timely implementation of program activities.
·      Contribute to monitoring of political developments in Nepal and inform the management team on key and emerging issues that may affect implementation of IRI activities.
·      Work closely with the IRI Nepal Team and IRI DC team to manage the overall program and program deliverables, including the fulfillment of annual workplans, budgets and compliance with donor regulations.  
·      Contribute to the preparation and presentation of proposed implementation plans, budgets, reporting requirements, and templates as required by USAID.
·      Contribute to preparation of presentations, factsheets and other internal and external communication materials.
·      Support program team in designing, implementing, and monitoring of IRI’s programmatic activities.
·      Provide other administrative supports, as and when  required.
