Senior Coordinator, Finance--Award Compliance Operations

Summary
The Senior Coordinator, Award Compliance Operations supports compliance with donor and agency requirements by ensuring accurate and timely award set up in Save the Children’s award management and financial systems. In this role, you will ensure audit-readiness by implementing data quality guidelines and supporting the management of award files. You will also support the agency’s non-traditional award portfolio, while also partnering with the team to provide support to more complex awards.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Duties)
  • Designated Development Award Management (30%)Ensure records are accurately set up and modified in Save the Children’s financial system (Agresso) by working closely with the Award Data & Systems team, Resource Development, and Gift Processing to draft and/or review new and modified awards in Agresso;
  • Set up new source of fund records on Save the Children’s Award Management System (AMS); distribute award startup data to relevant stakeholders and facilitate required startup conversations
  • Assess award data quality within AMS & Agresso, flag issues, ensure completion of corrections, as needed; flag opportunities for training and capacity building for stakeholders

  • Foregone Cost Allocation Methodology (FCAM) Management (30%)
  • Work with Award Compliance Operation Focal Points to ensure that foregone CAM is calculated and applied correctly.
  • Review expense data on a monthly basis against approved FCAM budgets.
  • Regularly run workflows on AMS to update FCAM Sources of Funds (SOFs).

  • Award Administration (20%)
  • Support assigned non-award and non-traditional award portfolio;
  • Review proposals, awards, modifications and other related award documents when applicable; provide feedback and identify risk factors; liaise with relevant stakeholders in Award Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Operations, and External Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy, as necessary

  • Team Support (20%)
  • Administrative duties that support the ACO global and regional focal points (running workflows, reviewing agency templates for accuracy, supporting follow-up as needed).
  • ACO knowledge management (maintain organization of Teams files for ACO unit, SharePoint update lead)

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in award management, award compliance, non-profit financial management, or data quality
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with individuals and teams at all levels
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements for key SCUS donors (USAID, Global Fund, UN, Gates Foundation, USDA, BPRM, etc.)
