Business Acquisition Associate (part-time internship)

Title: Business Acquisition Associate (part-time internship)

Job Description: Business Acquisition Associates contribute to helping the Founder find and acquire a business through conducting industry search, sourcing opportunities, assisting in due diligence, and improving operations processes.

Responsibilities: 
  • (1) conducting primary & secondary industry research within specific niches, (2) building lists and running outreach campaigns to small business owners, (3) monitoring deal sourcing platforms, (4) creating opportunity scorecards & memos, (5) assisting in pre-liminary due diligence by planning and joining calls with owners, and consolidating financial valuation summaries (6) summarizing and presenting your work to the Founder regularly, (7) improving internal operations processes
  • Commit an average of 10hrs/week on a part-time basis for 11 weeks from September 6th, 2021 to November 19th, 2021
  • Work remote or from Salt Lake City, UT

Desired Skills/Experience/Interests:
  • Self-starter – you bring your own energy to scoping, planning & executing projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong quantitative foundation – understanding of fundamental finance and accounting principles
  • Pursuing a career in banking, finance, management consulting, or a related field
  • Undergraduate students must have completed their Sophomore year
  • MBA graduate students will have the option to take on additional management responsibilities

Screening interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis. The most qualified candidates will be invited to a final round interview the week of September 6th, which will require a sample research exercise that will help evaluate competencies.

We are searching to acquire one business-to-business service company with a great team in an industry with strong growth. Following the search and acquisition, Austen will take a daily active role in managing & leading the business.
