Work-Study Student Assistant at Cockrell School of Engineering Dean’s Office
Student Assistant will perform reception and general clerical duties in a busy, professional office. Duties include welcoming guests, answering phones, maintaining conference room and office areas, monitoring/accepting conference room reservations in EMS software program, conducting inventory, scanning, copying and filing documents, data entry, maintaining historical statistics and spreadsheets, helping coordinate and plan office events, running errands on campus, collecting and distributing mail, and other duties as assigned. Hours are flexible, but afternoon is preferred, working 15-19 hours/week. Prefer junior and senior level students.
Professional demeanor. Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience as a receptionist or answering multi-line phones is helpful.
