Financial Analyst / Assistant Project Manager
Established NYC based General Contractor is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst / Assistant Project Manager to assist with Accounting/Finance functions of the firm to support its growing business. The qualified candidate should be flexible, able to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment where deadlines are key.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the management of all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Forecasting
- Assist with the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements
- Help ensure quality control over financial transactions; assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional duties as necessary: budget, requisition, contracts, change orders, waivers etc.
- Work directly with management and C-Suite Executives
- Prepare subcontractor bid forms, scopes of work, etc. for all trades involved in each project
- Prepare quantity take-offs and estimate costs of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to fulfill all provisions of the contract
QUALIFICATIONS / BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in accounting/finance is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of Excel is required
- Proficient with accounting software (Quick Books) and solid administration skills
- Capable of working with tight deadlines and excellent time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.

- Works as a team with site supervisor from initiation of project through project completion to successfully complete all aspects of the construction project
- Effectively applies company’s methodology, best practices, and enforces such standards
- Hold regular status meetings with project team as well as in the field and office meetings
