Position Title: Metalsmith / Bench Assistant

Location: Mansfield, TX

Duration: part-time, contract, seasonal

Hours: flexible (we will work around your school schedule!)

Start date: September/October

Salary Range: $16-$25/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:

As a bench assistant, you will be responsible for metal-working - stamping, texturing, oxidizing, filing, finishing, buffing, polishing, forming cuff bracelets, closing jump rings, making finished chains, etc. Candidates will use a bench lathe, flex shaft, soldering torch, pliers and other items related to the trade.

Qualifications:

General Knowledge of jewelry making (recommended)

Previous experience with bench lathe, soldering, etc

Knowledge of hand-stamping (recommended)
