Weekly Scheduled Hours: Up to 19 hours per week
Pay: $20 per hour
Purpose:
The position will be responsible for supporting and co-managing employer education efforts for the Employer Engagement team at Texas Career Engagement. The Employer Engagement team creates and manages student-employer engagement for internship and career opportunities, talent acquisition strategy development, industry exploration and knowledge, and career education and mentorship. This role will co-lead the employer education series, Hook Talent EDU; develop and implement new and innovative programs for employers; track employer education and engagement efforts utilizing various platforms and technologies; develop content for marketing purposes, and develop reports and updates for key stakeholders to help promote the breadth of UT Austin talent to our employer partners.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts research of campus departments/CSOs and partners, and the student experience (including skills and competencies mapping) for weekly and monthly reporting
- Identifies opportunities to highlight the hidden talent across campus
- Co-leads efforts to educate and track employer engagement in Hook Talent EDU program including event content and attendance summaries.
- Co-creates content for a weekly digest and bi-weekly Employment Trends
- Creates and manages resources and presentations, including monthly employer newsletters, DEI Corner, and employer education workshops
- Analyzes and identifies new leads for the employer engagement team
- Supports efforts to track and manage relationships and partnerships through data entry in HireUTexas powered by Handshake, Hubspot, and other technologies
Required qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (through email and reports)
- Strong content creation and delivery skills; technological proficiency
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work independently
- Demonstrated initiative and follow-through skills; punctuality and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in relationship building and communicating messages to key stakeholders
- Interest in the multi-industry employment market
- Prior experience working in a university career services capacity
