Graduate Research Assistant - Latino Research Institute
The Graduate Research Assistant supports activities of the Latino Research Institute (LRI) in Latino Studies. The GRA provides operational support to the LRI's Director and Assistant Director as well as support to a growing research program.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position will assist with a variety of research activities such as assisting with literature reviews, grant writing, and reports to funders; supporting the preparation and submission of manuscripts to journals. This position will coordinate activities for a regional research initiative. The position will fulfill other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Background in behavioral, social sciences, or related field
Interest in public health research, particularly with health disparities
Experience conducting literature reviews
Strong organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with qualitative research
Experience with analysis using qualitative and/or quantitative software
Experience with project/program coordination
Experience supervising others (e.g., undergraduate research assistants)
Experience with data retrieval from federal data sources (e.g., CDC, US Census)
Experience with databases such as Medline, PubMed, Eric, PsychInfo
Knowledge of statistical analysis and data management software (e.g., SPSS, Microsoft Excel)
Bilingual (English/Spanish) – oral, written
