Solar Sales Consultant

The Solar Scouts are sales professionals who seek out and connect homeowners with the best solar 

plans. We are seeking entry level sales reps to generate leads and fill our pipeline with

appointments with new prospective solar homeowners. We are seeking candidates who are competitive and eager to learn and who are money motivated. This is a commission based role, which will depend largely on candidates ability to build rapport quickly, and to self start everyday. There is an opportunity to advance as our business continues to grow!

You will have flexibility in your schedule, and how you choose to work. We will make 

recommendations and suggestions based on our experience, and we are excited about the new 

techniques you’ll bring based on your experience. To that extent, this role is open to interpretation, and 

you’ll have the freedom to find prospects as you best see fit within our guiding principles.

A candidate will need to be comfortable and confident doing the following:

 Ability to work autonomously or in groups

 Interacting directly with prospects at their homes, and quickly determining if the home and 

homeowner will be a good fit for solar panels

 Command to control the conversation while putting a prospect at ease, building trust, reliability, 

and peace of mind for homeowners

 Remains calm under pressure and performs well in an ambiguous, ever changing work 

environment

 Can lift up to 50lbs

 Is comfortable surveying a prospects property with that prospects permission (occasionally 

requires opening gates, fences, avoiding trees, brush, debris, and other oddities found in some 

yards) using judgement to avoid aggressive pets and other potential hazards such as wasps, etc.

 Can take photos and has access to email on their mobile device

Reliable transportation

The ideal candidate is some who:

1. Has a bachelors degree in business, communication, or related field. (Preferred but not 

required)

2. High School Diploma (Required)

3. Superb communication skills (verbal and written)

4. Spanish Speaking (business level fluency) is a plus

5. Has some experience in sales
