Student Associate – Alumni Relations and Development, Texas Law (open to work study and non-work study)

To assist the Alumni Relations and Development Office with a variety of administrative tasks; help with the successful implementation of short- and long-term fundraising goals for the Texas Law School. Duties include but not limited to: general clerical tasks, data entry and evaluation, organization of office supplies and inventory, generating thank you letters, and preparing mailing materials. Some weekend and evening work may be required during event season. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
·      Assist with data collection, entry, processing, and organization
·      Assist with events when need by the Alumni Relations team – setting up, greeting guests, managing nametag tables, and other event logistics
·      Assist with donor stewardship projects and other special projects
·      Sort, assemble, organize and distribute materials and mailings
·      Generate letters, mailing labels, lists, and other materials for the office
·      Greet visiting alumni with a professional demeanor representing Texas Law
·      Arrive on time for work and maintain a reliable attendance record
·      Other office and development duties as assigned
·      Work around standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard and at a workstation with use of manual dexterity
 
Required Qualifications:
·      Availability to work at least 3 scheduled morning (9am-1pm) or afternoon (1-5pm) shifts during normal business hours (Monday-Friday) per week
·      Availability to work occasional evening and weekend events (2-3 per year)
·      Strong work ethic with a desire to learn
·      High level of attention to detail
·      Ability to work independently and be resourceful
·      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
·      Positive and effective writing and communication skills
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·      Previous customer service experience
·      Knowledge or interest in development
·      Knowledge and/or experience with UT policy and procedures and VIP database
