Warehouse Assistant II

Overview
The Warehouse Assistant II is an overtime-eligible position that reports to the Materials Management Team. The position is responsible for transporting, receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products within the warehouses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness both physically and within the current software system.
Essential Functions
•            Transport materials to other warehouses or office locations as instructed by Warehouse Supervisor or Materials Manager. Use fork truck and other equipment to move and store materials.
•            Provide guidance for Warehouse Assistant I employees and others as needed.
•            Receiving materials: unload trucks, accurately input merchandise into current software system, match contents of package to packing slip and distribute to end-user. Inspect shipments of new stock as they come in looking for damaged goods.
•            Maintaining accurate inventory lots, serial numbers, quantities, and locations of products within the system.
•            Maintain finished goods in the cold room & warehouse (this includes first in first out and monitoring expiration dates).
•            Supply “special customer” items from finished goods to shipping dept.
•            Perform cycle counts on inventory items in the warehouse & cold room.
•            Move material and items from receiving or storage areas.
•            Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as size or item code.
•            Label materials and pallets with identifying information using appropriate methods (e.g., item number, quantity, lot number, dates, and quarantine).
•            Organize the warehouse and ensure accessibility for CSI team members by consolidating items as much as possible.
•            Stock and maintain the in-house refrigerator with approved standards & buffers on a daily basis. Stock and maintain the in-house non-perishable supplies for lab use on a daily basis. 
•            Assist in kitting items and completing appropriate functions in the system.

Accountabilities
•            Maintain inventory records and tracking system.
•            Monitor activities in warehouse to insure proper recording of outgoing materials.
•            Maintains the warehouse in a highly organized and efficient manner as instructed by the Warehouse Supervisor and or Materials Manager.
•            Transport materials to other warehouses or office locations.
•            Use fork trucks and other equipment to move materials.
•            Leadership within team.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
•            High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
•            Five + years’ experience in a Warehouse role.
•            Excel and Word knowledge.
•            Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
•            Inventory software knowledge (Syteline, MRP, or ERP systems).
•            Must have a valid driver’s license.
•            Travel is required between three (3) facilities.
•            Must be able to work during required hours of 8:00am until 5:00 pm unless scheduled overtime by Warehouse Supervisor.
•            Fork lift experience.
•            Good communication skills. English speaking.

Preferred:
•            Box truck driving experience.
•            Leadership skills.

Physical Requirements
•            Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
•            Able to occasionally move about inside the warehouse as well as the facility.
•            Able to remain stationary for an extended length of time.
•            Operate computers and other office equipment.
•            Push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items with additional manpower or appropriate devices.
•            Traverse about the facility, carry and climb ladders, work from heights, crawl under equipment and have the dexterity to work with trade tools.
•            Able to function in extreme hot and cold weather and non-weather conditions, such as freezers.
