Private Equity Summer Analyst

We aim to complete leverage buyouts of small business in the micro-market while taking an intensively operational role. Position Responsibilities:
JEBCP is looking to hire a cohort of summer analysts. Interns will engage across all functions of the firm and will have exposure to all aspects of JEBCP’s deal process (including working directly for the founder) but will focus primarily on deal sourcing. In addition to the work assigned to interns’ the cohort will receive weekly training sessions on topics relevant to private equity and their expressed interests as a cohort and the internship may qualify for course credit. Intern’s will be given real responsibility and will be expected to have a measurable impact on the organization. Successful interns may be offered letters of recommendation upon completion and prior interns have gone on to work in private equity and investment banking at firms like Ninth Street Capital Partners and Goldman Sachs.   

Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·        Identifying business brokers/investment bankers with deal being marketed
·        Contacting business brokers through email and via telephone about potential investment opportunities
·        Filtering opportunities, teasers, and CIMs for deals that meet JEBCP’s investment criteria
·        Conduct initial due diligence on potential acquisition targets
·        Developing and presenting industry investment theses
·        Assist managing partner in various aspects related to the operations of JEBCP
 
Ideal Candidate:
·        Sophomore of Junior in college pursuing a business or economics degree (not required)
·        A strong work ethic
·        Ability to take initiative and successfully complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
·        Strong verbal and written communication skills
·        Interested in potential careers in finance/private equity
