Assistant Director

Job Description: 
The Assistant Director provides oversight and quality support to students and faculty interested in semester long study abroad programs. This position is primarily responsible for development, implementation and management of Gonzaga’s sponsored semester study abroad programs. The Assistant Director serves as the primary liaison between the Study Abroad office and academic departments, student services directors, and offering semester study abroad programs to ensure quality and safety.
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
​1+ Year of supervisory experience.
 
Desired Qualifications: 
Master’s Degree in related field
5 or more years experience in international education, study abroad area preferred
Experience with Terra Dotta management system or similar CRM
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
Very high level organization and attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of current best practices in study abroad field
Knowledge of functionality of study abroad office
Familiarity with visa process
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Involvement with NAFSA, Forum on Education, Diversity Abroad or other international education associations
