Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks which include obtaining data through collection, research, or scraping.
  • Review and verify data with the intent of eventually designing and storing in a database.
  • Maintain, clean, and analyze data that is gathered from a variety of sources.
  • Develop graphs and charts to explain the key trends and patterns that exist in the data.
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes.
  • Projects will be assigned by the Association’s Executive Director and/or management staff.
  • Regular check-in with staff via email, phone and/or Zoom or in person meetings.

Qualifications and skillset preference
  • Current student or recent graduate (bachelors) in a quantitative discipline.
  • Have at least 1-2 years in a data analytics or research role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of current technologies, SQL and Python or R.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Capable with and knowledge of data analysis, data wrangling, and data extraction.
  • Experience in putting together reports/presentations with results from analyses.
  • Curiosity and ability to quickly learn and understand the vocabulary and concepts of the topics of analysis.

  • This is a remote job.
  • It is preferred that you are located in Austin, TX.
  • You will be required to pass a background check and sign a nondisclosure agreement.
